Sunday Morning NJ

Lyn and I woke up very early this morning, and we've been reading through the Times since 6, collecting rhubarb recipes and photos of cartop safari tents-probably very chic on a Subaru-and reading depressing articles about BlackwaterUSA, OSHA and this week's Bush antics.

I think that Magda is front, far left in Lyn's epic photograph of the MOHO V3 boat. Lyn blasted up to MA for the regatta, then turned around to get back here for the Bat Mitzvah of our friends David and Susan Pitman's daughter Jessica. We had a great evening with my train buddies from the NYC commuting years.

Declan is performing today-double bass-at a Jazz Vespers in a Methodist church in Montclair. Asked to dress nicely, he modeled a grey flannel suit, purple dress shirt, and a Takashi Kuge tie. (I painted several Kuge murals years ago) and a vintage Homburg which appeared magically in our house. Dec is also sporting a beard these days, which enhances the jazz musician vibe. His other band gigs sporadically, and actually has provided him with some decent paychecks!

Our congratulations to Domi! So it's Vassar?

Well, time to wake Declan for a bicycle ride...
